This comprehensive Program covers the 9 areas of Project Management as applied to an Outside Plant Project.

Students work in teams to develop a Project Plan for a typical OSP Project. This includes:

  • Complete a "lessons learned" analysis
  • Develop a Quality Plan
  • Write a Scope of Work (SOW)
  • Develop an Organizational Breakdown Structure (OBS)
  • Develop a Work Breakdown Structure (WBS)
  • Develop a PERT/CPM Network Diagram
  • Determine the "Critical Path" for the Project
  • Develop a Project Safety Plan
  • Develop a Project Communications Plan
  • Develop a Cost Plan using the "Earned Value" method
  • Develop Gantt, Milestone, and Calendar Schedules

This program includes the Project Management Certification Exam. The Exam is "open book" and is designed to be a practical demonstration of project management skills. Software tools such as Project, Visio, Word, Suretrack, Primavera etc. may be used on the Exam. The Program includes all certification and testing fees.

The Program has three parts:

1. PM Process & Exam  (Distance Learning Program)

2. Technical Specialty & Exam (Distance Learning Program)

3. Hands on training & Case Study Exam Prep

The Program includes instruction by a subject matter expert, and an Internship program.

This class is available as  melded; internet, self study, and Instructor lead

“Hands on” modules. The program can be completed during a one to fifteen
